So, you want to hire The Buried Editor for something.
Well, good. She wants the cash.

The Buried Editor is available for all sorts of jobs. She has instructed me to list them below.
  • Speaking at Conferences
The Buried Editor likes to speak at conferences. She thinks they're fun and likes the opportunity to meet new authors and illustrators. She has a very reasonable rate for conference appearances: free. All she asks is that your group pays her transportation and lodging costs and feeds her. Of course, as a speaker at the conference, The Buried Editor agrees to accept submissions to Blooming Tree Press and Children's Brains are Yummy Books. If you would like her to do critique sessions at the conference she likes to recieve $15 a manuscript. They can take up a lot of time that otherwise would go to other jobs.
  • Teaching Classes
School is fun, and no one believes that more than The Buried Editor. She enjoys teaching others the skills she has learned in her never-ending pursit of perfection. If your group would like to sponsor weekly writing classes, you probably need to be in or reasonably near Austin, Texas. Her rates vary depending on class size, frequency, topics, etc. Please email her if you are interested in starting a class.
  • General Editing
Now, for the good stuff. The Buried Editor is available for rent, so to speak. You can hire her to work on any editing project you may dream up. If you need a manuscript polished before sending it to an agent, you want The Buried Editor. If you have decided to self-publish your book, you need professional editing. You need the Buried Editor. She is available for all aspects of the publishing process from simple proofreading to full project management including editing, copyediting, and proofing of bluelines. And just because she specializes in editing children's books, it doesn't mean that she can't work on adult manuscripts as well. For a printable version of her editing rates, click here.
Special Note: The Buried Editor is not available for hire if you plan on submitting your book to either Blooming Tree Press and/or CBAY Books. She is not some quasi-editor who wants to lead you into a false sense of security. You might think that if you hire The Buried Editor, she might acquire your book. This is not the case. The Buried Editor is doing this as a sideline completely seperate from the presses. Don't get them confused. She won't. If you want to hire an editor to review your work before submitting it to either one of these presses, hire someone else.
